I’ve been reading a series called Soul Eater. It’s about people that can become weapons paired with technicians who hunt down evil kishin souls. Soul eats the souls of his enemies. He can become a scythe. His partner is named Maka.  Black Star wants to surpass God. His partner’s name is Tsubaki. She can become a chain scythe, a smoke bomb, a ninja star, a ninja blade, and a sacred sword. Death the Kid is the son of the Grim Reaper. His partners are Liz and Patty. The two sisters become twin pistols.

I’ve been reading manga by the name of Bleach. It’s about a teenage boy named Ichigo who can see ghosts. But his life drastically changes when he becomes a soul reaper.   Soul reapers are spiritual entities who fight masked creatures called hollows. Hollows eat human souls. Soul reapers cleanse them with swords called zanpakutos.  All zanpakutos all have a name. Ichigo’s zanpakuto’s name is Zangetsu. His special power is Getsuga Tensho. But Ichigo became part Hollow and gained Hollow powers. Bleach_-_D-tecnolife

I’ve be reading manga with the title DNAngel. It’s about a typical 14-year-old boy named Daisuke Niwa who transforms into the Legendary Phantom Thief, Dark. Dark Mousy is a 17-year-old art thief who loves women’s attention.  The key to his transformation are feelings of love. Transforming back works the same way. Whenever either of them think of the girl they love they’ll transform. Daisuke loves Risa Harada and Dark loves Riku Harada but Risa loves Dark and Riku loves Dasuke.

When you are fourteen you are supposed to be strong and not to cry even when your pain and sadness is overbearing. Sometimes it’s simple but other times it’s hard. My grandma on my dad’s side of the family caught pneumonia. She was in pain and afraid that she would die. It pained me to see her in that condition. I visited her on a Saturday. We laughed and joked like nothing was wrong. I left feeling better. little did I know it would be the last time I would see her alive. She died a few days later. I cried continuously at her funeral. This was one of those hard times. Even now just thinking about her just makes me break down. Being fourteen isn’t easy.white_night_true_light_-_vic_mignogna

My time has decided that the story has enough excitement to appeal to high schoolers. Two reasons are the length of the story and the events. This book is similar in comparison to “The Most Dangerous Game”. The scare rating is a 3.

Dear Agency,

Marigolds is a touching story that teaches a lesson. It also a fine piece of literature. Why you would say it wouldn’t be published is beyond me. But then again, everyone has their own personal views.
